In Spring 2023, Akili launched a Playground Project with her 3rd grade students at Frederick Douglass Elementary. Through #ProjectBasedLearning, students took on a real-world challenge, addressing inequities in their school playground. This empowered student voices, and sparked meaningful change in their community. By 2025, that vision became reality, students enjoying the project designed with their voices at the center. Akili extends heartfelt thanks to the @Reds organization and all supporter
